Hi Keri-Ann, I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this question. An elevated ALT can be caused by a few different things, some of these can be serious and others can just be watched. The significance of the elevation will depend on the actual value of the ALT, your pet’s overall medical history, and any clinical signs present. Your vet knows you pet and they can give you the best advice on this.
