• This morning I noticed that my 4 month old kitten's "third eyelid" is slightly pink and swollen and her eye is watery. I have an appointment on Friday, what do you think this could be and can I wait until Friday to have it looked at?

    Hi Caitlin,
There can be several causes of the symptoms you are describing. Eye infections can be common in cats but there could also be a concern of an eye injury or foreign material in the eye. I would call to see if your kitten can be seen sooner instead of waiting until Friday. It is best to evaluate concerns with the eyes sooner so it doesn’t progress to something more concerning.
