• Shortly before Christmas we brought Kitty in and he had a severe stress reaction that led us to the emergency vet. There we discovered a few tumors, heart disease and potentially lymphoma, plus he is hyper-thyroid and being treated thru diet. He's been doing great since then but the last few days, and last night/today especially, he's been meowing incessantly. He doesn't show any signs of distress but I'm concerned this might be an expression of pain? We're just trying to determine the best course since bringing him in to get checked out isn't really an option because of the stress reaction. I've got pain meds still from our visit and was considering giving him some. Can you offer any suggestions? Thank you, Erin Golfis

    Hi Erin,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this question. There can be a few different causes for meowing like you are describing. Your vet can get some more information from you to try and identify the underlying cause. Once they have that information they can recommend the treatment that will be best for him.
