  • My pups nails have always been black. I have noticed a couple on his back paws turning all white. Should this be of concern? He has had his nails clipped twice thus far and the last time was about a month ago.

    Hi Stephanie,
I recommend that you take your pup into see a veterinarian. Toenails do not usually change color. The color of the toenail is usually associated with the color of the hair around the nail. Your vet can talk to you about the cause of the color change and any treatment he needs after they have examined him.
