It is very normal for puppies to drink large amounts of water – especially as it starts to get warmer since this is how they keep themselves cool. They also need water to grow, build muscle and even just to help them digest their food (especially if they are being fed kibble). There are some puppies who will drink excessively though – and this can be either a behavioral challenge (they like playing with it and drinking it) or it could be related to a medical issue. I would suggest accurately measuring how much your pup is drinking and then setting up a consultation with your veterinarian to discuss the significance of this alongside your pet’s specific information including weight, size and age. You should be able to come up with a good plan from there.
