Hi Raysa, I recommend that you talk to your local veterinarian about this question. The whining at night can be a behavioral issue but it can also have underlying medical causes. I do not recommend giving melatonin unless directed to do so by your vet. The safety of this will depend on your pup’s size and overall health. If medication is needed there may be a safer alternative that can be used. Your vet knows your pet’s medical history and they will be able to give you the best advice on this.
