• My pitbull puppy is 7 months old and is generally in apparent good health. That said he has developed a red sore on his head. I have noticed the growth over the last two to three weeks with this bump largely remaining uncolored in appearance . About a week ago it busted open and bled a bit. Since that time I've been keeping it clean and applying Neosporin to it to ensure doesn't get infected. In the last day or so it seems to have enlarged slightly and is pink reddish in color. It doesn't seem to irritate him. As a final comment I have notice a few other lumps or cyst- like growths on him but they have not noticeably increased in size or have broken open to drain. Any thoughts? Thank you

    Hi Andrew,
I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian. The spots that you are describing are concerning especially because there are multiple spots and that some of them are growing. There can be many different causes for this including infection, inflammation of the skin, or even masses. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the spots and any treatment that he needs after they have examined him.
