• My Male cat is having a hard time walking. When he stands up his hind legs shake and he cant walk very far. He is eating fine and drinking and going to the bathroom fine. he just cant move around very well. He has also become more lovey. I know this isn't a whole lot to go on but what could it be? I have felt all 4 of his paws he doesnt meow in pain I dont feel anything broken. I dont have the money for all the tests the internet says to get.

    Hi Victoria,
I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. The not being able to walk is very concerning and it is possible that he is in pain. There can be many different causes for this including an injury or infection but there could be a more serious metabolic issue as well. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the symptoms after they have examined him. You are correct that they will likely recommend some diagnostic tests like blood work or x-rays. However, if you cannot afford these, then your vet may be able to recommend treatment based on the most likely underlying cause.
