• My gsd pup 8 months has a returning severe rash around groin and under front leg pits. He received antibiotics and anti itch and it cleared up first time but not on return. I think it may be a reaction to latex. I have a follow up visit to banfield vet but suspect advice will be to do allergy testing. Do banfield do allergy testing or are they going to refer me to someone in which case I would rather go there sooner rather than delay. Thanks

    Hi Linda,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this question. They know your pet’s medical history so they will have a better idea of the next steps needed to diagnose the underlying cause of the rash. There are a couple of different ways to allergy test so it could potentially be done at your Banfield Hospital but your vet may also refer you to a veterinary dermatologist if that is needed.
