  • My English bulldog was born on 3/5/18. He was seen at Banfield today and weighs 49.2 lbs. Is he over weight? How much should he weigh? How much should he eat? He’s on Royal Canine for puppies now. Thank you

    Hi Michelle,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about your concerns. The ideal weight of a pet will depend on their size and breed. Your vet knows your pet’s size so they can talk to you about his ideal weight. They can also recommend the type and amount of food that will be best for him. It is very important to keep your puppy at an ideal weight especially since he is a bulldog. English Bulldogs can have significant breathing issues and obesity can make them a lot worse.
