Hi Naomi, I recommend that you take your dog into see a veterinarian as soon as possible if you have not already done so. The limping and whimpering are signs of pain which may mean that there is a deeper injury than just the cut. Also, the bite injury could easily become infected. Your vet can recommend the treatment that will be best for him after they have examined him.
