• My dog has diarrhea for 24 hours. What can I do to help stop it

    Hi Kirk,
If the diarrhea has continued I recommend that you take your pet into see a veterinarian if you have not already done so. Diarrhea that lasts over 12 hours is concerning. There can be many different causes for this including infection, intestinal parasites, inflammation of the GI tracts, or a more severe underlying medical issue. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the diarrhea after they have examined your pet. They may recommend some lab tests to help diagnose or rule out certain diseases. The treatment your pet needs will depend on the underlying cause and severity of the symptoms.
