• My dog has been barking all of the time this past year. I figured he has separation anxiety because he barks whenever someone is putting on their shoes to leave the house, but it just seems like he barks at every little thing now.

    Hi Danielle,
I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian. Barking like you are describing can be caused by anxiety, a behavioral issue, or even an underlying medical issue. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the barking after they have talked with you about the barking, and any other associated behaviors, and examined him for any underlying medical causes. The treatment that he needs will include a behavior modification plan that is specific to your pet. This plan may include training, medications, and desensitization therapy.
