• My dog has always had flaky skin, but with the changing of the seasons and his coat changing he seems to be flakier than usual. What can I do to help his skin not be so flaky and itchy. I have searched his coat and there are no bugs in it, nor does he have any rash or red bumps.

    Thanks for your question Lauren.
I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian. A dry and itchy hair coat can be caused by a few different things from dry weather or allergies but there can be a more serious underlying medical issue as well. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of his dry skin and the treatment that will be best for him after they have examined him.
