Hi Colette, If the eye is still red or if she is still scratching at it, I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian. There can be a few different causes for these symptoms including infection, inflammation of the eye, an eye injury, or even something more serious like glaucoma. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of her symptoms after they have examined her. They will likely recommend some specialized eye tests to help diagnose or rule out certain causes. The treatment that she needs will depend on the underlying cause and severity of her symptoms.
