If the swelling is still present I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian as soon as possible if you have not already done so. A tooth root abscess can cause a swelling like you are describing but there can be other causes as well. If you notice any other signs like vomiting, diarrhea, swelling in other areas of the face, or lethargy you should take him into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the swelling and the treatment he needs after they have examined him.
