• My dog Bella was recently seen for 12/23 for bleeding from her vulva. We were given Clavamox and Rimadyl to fix it. We were also told she has cataracts. Her vision is declining so much she is bumping into walls and furniture and the bleeding has not stopped. It is a deep red color. we are still in diapers. Do you happen to know why this bleeding has not stopped? Or what this could be?

    Hi Ashley,
I recommend that you take her back into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. Bleeding from her vulva like you are describing that has not resolved after 2 months is very concerning. The vision loss that you are describing can be from cataracts but there can be other causes as well. Your vet can talk to you about the potential causes for her symptoms after they have examined her. They may recommend some lab tests to help diagnose or rule out certain diseases. The treatment that she needs will depend on the underlying cause and severity of her symptoms.
