  • My dog Bambi had been throwing up three days in a row. One time each day the first two days it was only a little bit and it was whitish color. Then last night she threw up twice at the same time and it had food chunks in it and was white. Other than that shes fine not lethargic she seems fine drinking water walking around. What could this be and should I take her to the vet?

Hi Paige, if the vomiting has continued, I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. Repeated vomiting that lasts more than 12 hours is concerning. There can be many different causes for the vomiting including infection, inflammation of the GI tract, intestinal parasites, and an injury or blockage of the GI tract. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the vomiting after they have examined her. They may recommend some lab tests and/or x-rays to help diagnose or rule out certain diseases. The treatment that she needs will depend on the underlying cause and severity of her symptoms.
