• My concern is my pet hasn't had a bath in over a month since we adopted her from a shelter. She has bad body odor. Unfortunately, my finances are not good enough for a groomer nor can I buy her dog shampoo. I was told using dawn dishwashing liquid in the meantime. Is this harmful to her coat? Any suggestions please? Thank you

    Hi Carl and Nancy,
Dawn dish soap is often used in pets to bathe. Ideally, we aren’t having to bathe pets more than once a month unless the pet is rolling in the mud. If we bathe too frequently it can dry out the skin and cause issues. I recommend making an appointment with your veterinarian for an exam and then they can tell you the best options for your pet.
