• My cat was spayed on Wednesday this week and she seems to be doing fine but she is starting to smell like "belly button lint" per my daughter and her sutures on the bottom look like they have a small hole. Can I bathe her if I don't get the sutures area wet or should I bring her in for a check up. Thank you

    Hi Rebecca,
I recommend that you call and talk to your veterinarian about the smell and the hole in the sutures. They can get some more information from you and then let you know if she needs to be seen by a vet. I do not recommend bathing her unless you are instructed to do so by your vet. If you notice the hole is getting larger or if there is any discharge from it, you should take her into see a veterinarian as soon as possible.
