• My cat is 8 months and up to this point his stools have been normal. On Saturday I noticed his stool was very soft, not liquid but soft and smells bad. I have not changed his diet and he still eating and drinking and playing. What can I do to get him to have normal stools again?

    Hi Recina,
If the stools are still not normal, I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian. Diarrhea or loose stools like you are describing that lasts longer than 24 hours is concerning. Your vet can talk to you about the cause of the diarrhea and the treatment needed after they have examined him. I do not recommend using any over the counter medications unless directed to do so by your vet. Many of these medications can be toxic to cats if used incorrectly.
