• My 7 month old puppy is having solid brown stools that have a yellowish tint inside, is this due to his food (Purina puppy chow) or the result of something more serious? Should this be cause for concern?

    Hi Taylor,
There can be several causes for having multiple colors in the stool. It may be from having various colors within the food or if treats are also apart of your puppy’s stool. If one color is softer in consistency than the other color, this may indicate a concern for GI upset. It would be best to take a stool sample to your veterinarian for them to assess and determine if there is a concern or it would be normal for your puppy.
