Ice water and ice are usually fine for you dog as long as the ice is given in moderation. Using ice as a treat can be a good alternative to other treats as it has no calories. However, be sure that you pet is either chewing the ice or playing with it long enough that it doesn’t cause a choking hazard. Also, in rare cases ice can fracture teeth if it is too hard. Giving smaller pieces can help to prevent that from happening.
