• Mahogany was in your office 2 weeks ago this coming Monday. He has a wound in his foot, and I dont feel that it is getting better. A little better, but he is not back to normal? It still bleeds at times and he appears to be in a bit of pain. I know he is an elder cat, but should it take this long? I spoke to a VA in the office a week after my initial appointment and she told me to be patient, but should I bring him back? Thanks

    Hi Danielle,

I recommend that you call and talk to the doctor or VA about this. The amount of time to heal will depend on the type of wound and how it was treated. Your vet knows your pet’s medical history and they will be able to give you the best advice on if he needs to be seen again or if he needs further treatment.
