• Just recently my dog Chachi was diagnosed with seizures & put on phenobarbital. Chachi is a rescue dog with multiple traumas & before I was giving him Synergy Labs - Richard's Organics Pet Calm to help with his anxieties. Until we were sure what dose phenobarb it needed to be on we had to due (2) phenobarb blood tests to make sure his levels are where they need to be. They are. I am wondering if you know if it would be ok to now re-introduce the Pet Calm? It is made from all natural herbs? I asked my vet at the Banfield about this product and she was not familiar with it that is why I am posing this question to you. Thank you.

    Hi Charlene,
I recommend that you send a list of the ingredients to your local Banfield Veterinarian and ask them again prior to using this product. Phenobarbital does have a lot of drug interactions because of the way that the body metabolizes it. This can sometimes either increase or decrease the effectiveness of other drugs. In addition the safety of any medication will depend on your pet’s overall health. Your vet knows your pet and her health history and they can give you the best advice on this. If this medication is not recommended your vet should be able to prescribe you a safer alternative.
