The seriousness of a mast cell tumor will depend on a few different things including the size of the mass, where it is located, the mitotic index, if it has migrated to other parts of the body, and your pet’s overall health. Your vet knows your pet and her medical history and they can give you the best advice on the prognosis and the treatment that will be best for her.
