• How young (or old) do kittens have to be before they receive their first routine preventative vaccinations?

    Hi Patrick,
If you have recently adopted a kitten I recommend that you take it into see a veterinarian.  The vaccine series and other preventive care usually starts around 6-8 weeks of age. However, this can depend on the individual kitten, the environment that they will be exposed to, and when they were adopted. Your vet can examine your kitten to make sure that it is healthy and they can then recommend the best preventive care plan for your individual pet.
