Hi Alecya, I recommend that you take your cat into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. Differentiating between these two things can be difficult and it may take some specialized diagnostic testing to rule either choice in or out. The testing needed will depend on the individual symptoms that you cat is having as well as the overall medical history. Your vet knows your pet and they can recommend the testing that is needed.
