Hi Vanessa, I recommend that you talk to your local veterinarian about your concerns. At this point, it is not known what may be causing the heart problems in the dogs on grain free diets. So supplementing with taurine may not be needed. The best diet for your pet will depend on a few different factors including your pet’s age, breed, and overall health. Your vet knows your pet and they can talk to you about the taurine supplementation and the diet that will be best for your pet.
