• Hello. My cat name is MoMo and I have a concern about her. Since today's morning (3/15/2019), momo could not open her eyes well. She barely opened her eyes. We have another car, Dodo so we thought while they were playing each other during last night, Momo might get injured or something. However, she is eating well and she does not have any behavioral problems. She acts as normal but only concern is her right eye. She looked swellen. Can we watch her for few days or is it emergency? Please let me know. Thanks.

    Hi Jisun,
I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. A swollen eye that she does not want to open can be caused by a few different things. These include injury and infection but can also be caused by something more severe like glaucoma that can permanently effect her sight. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of this after they have examined MoMo. They may recommend some specialized eye tests to help diagnose or rule out certain diseases. The treatment that she needs will depend on the underlying cause and severity of her symptoms.
