• Hello! I have a 3 month old kitten and a 2 year old cat, both spayed females. The 2yo is on an i/d diet (Hills). For her dry food, I use a Catit food tree. Recently the kitten discovered how to get food out of the tree and love to play with it. Is it unhealthy for her to eat the i/d food? She has her own kitten food she eats. Thanks!

    Hi Kristina,
I recommend that you call and talk to your local veterinarian about this question. In most cases it is best for the kitten to just eat kitten food at this age. The risk of her eating the i/d food will depend on her overall medical history and how much of it she is eating. Your vet knows your pets and they can give you the best advice on this.
