• Hello! About a day and a half ago, my cat Watley ate two pieces of ribbon off a cat toy. I'm not totally sure the length, but I think about 1/2 of a foot for each piece. It does not appear as though he has passed the ribbons yet. He is still acting normally. Is this a concern? Thanks!

    Hi Amelia,
I recommend that you take Watley into see a veterinarian as soon as possible is you have not already done so. Ribbons and string can cause significant issues if they are swallowed. The concern is that the intestines can bunch around the string which can damage the intestines and lead to severe infection. Your vet can examine him to make sure that the ribbons are not causing any damage. Your vet can recommend any treatment that your pet needs.
