Any number of things could be causing the itching, including but not limited to; an ear infection caused by yeast or bacteria, something stuck in the ear, allergies, or parasites. The only way to know for sure what is causing the discomfort is to have her seen by a veterinarian so that she can be accurately diagnosed and appropriately treated.
Treating it without knowing what is causing it, or waiting for it to go away on its own, can be ineffective and will most likely cause the condition to worsen, leaving your pet in pain. Early treatment of a minor illness is also much more economical is most cases.
