• Can I give my 7 year old cat pumpkin? She's had a few soft stools. She's a Siamese mix female. Thank you. Patty

Hi Patty, I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian. Multiple soft stools are concerning and they may be a sign of an underlying issue that needs to be treated. These cause can include infection, inflammation of the GI tract, intestinal parasites, or an underlying medical issue. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of the soft stools and the treatment that she needs after they have examined her. While pumpkin is sometimes used to provide fiber it is not always appropriate to use. I would not recommend using this unless directed to do so by your vet.
