  • Can I get over the counter decongestant for the cat?

There are no over the counter decongestants that I am aware of for cats. If your cat is having congestion, nasal discharge or trouble breathing I recommend that you take him into see a veterinarian as soon as possible. This can be a sign of a respiratory infection, allergies, asthma or something as significant as pneumonia. In some cases these diseases can become severe or even life threatening. Your veterinarian can talk to you more about the cause of your cat’s issues after they have examined him. Any treatment that he needs will depend on the underlying cause of the congestion.
