• Aaliyah ‘s stool is getting dark and hard. This has been going on for a week now. I have photos of it if needed. Concern about this.

    I recommend that you take her into see a veterinarian. A dark stool can be caused by something relatively benign like the type of food being fed but it can also be caused by something more severe like liver disease, or a bleeding ulcer. Your vet can talk to you more about the cause of this after they have examined her. They may recommend some lab tests to help diagnose or rule out certain diseases. The treatment that she needs will depend on the underlying cause of her symptoms.
