Emily grew up in Columbus, Ohio and has an undergraduate degree in communication from the Ohio State University. She moved to Seattle, Washington after college and worked in the technology industry for several years, then applied to be transferred to the "Last Frontier" - Alaska! Shortly thereafter, she met her now-husband, Steve, and they received orders to move to Savannah. Before their household goods had even arrived here, they had adopted Alyeska, a brindle pit mix. They then adopted several South American cichlids, bala sharks, a pleco, Coral the tortie and Miki the white Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. In September of 2019, Emily grabbed a small calico kitten (now known as Bonnie) from the Abercorn/Truman bridge, so she and Steve now have a very full house. Emily has an M.S. in marine sciences, so you can also find her working with her fish babies at the Bass Pro Shops aquarium in Savannah.
