Dr. Aurea Lucas

Dr. Lucas attended Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in 2008. A year later, she was accepted into Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, IN and graduated in 2013. After graduation Dr. Lucas began practicing at Banfield. Dr. Lucas has special interest in preventive medicine, pediatric and geriatric care, and surgery. What excites her most about preventive care is heartworm prevention and dental prophylaxis. Dr. Lucas has one black cat named Halsted (Hal for short) who is named after William Halsted, The Father of Modern Surgery, because he was her first ever surgery patient! Dr. Lucas also has an adorably large German Shepherd puppy named Archibald (Archer for short)! In her free time she loves to go hiking with Archer, cooking (especially Italian), gardening, and horseback riding.
