Dr. Fernandez started her veterinary career working in a small animal hospital in Oakland, CA while attending Mills College for undergraduate studies. After graduating with degrees in biology and computer science, she continued to work and gain experience in the field. She left the U.S. and attended the Royal Veterinary College in the United Kingdom graduating in 2016, and has worked at Banfield since graduation. Her veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, preventive medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology, and she enjoys working with gun dogs and terriers. Dr. Fernandez lives with her two Vizslas and when not cuddling pets in the hospital, she enjoys training her dogs in obedience and agility, trips to the dog park, running, and watching the newest Marvel movie.
