Dr. Weissbach loves to learn and began her educational journey with a zoology degree from Connecticut College. Only after college did she discover her passion for veterinary medicine and surgery, and after a few years of working full time in an animal hospital in New Jersey, she became a licensed veterinary technician. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in animal science from the University of Connecticut with a concentration Immunology. To change things up a bit, Dr. Weissbach moved to the Midwest to attend veterinary school at the University of Missouri, though she was unable to stay away from family and friends on the east coast and returned right after graduation! When she isn’t working, she loves building legos with her son, hanging out with her husband and doing outdoor activities. She also shares her home with three dogs (Jigs, Milo and Dozer,) three cats (Jaws, Fat Orange and Tootsie,) and a talking African grey, as well many goldfish and a resident bullfrog in an outdoor pond.
