Kim was born and raised in San Diego. She received her bachelor's degree in animal physiology and neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego in 2005 and started at Banfield Pet Hospital shortly after as a Pet Care Assistant. Kim received her Registered Veterinary Technician license and became a Practice Manager for Banfield in 2011. She enjoys developing and training associates and fellow Practice Managers through the San Diego market. She currently lives in San Diego with her husband, their young son CJ, a bearded dragon, a hamster and recently rescued a stray Maltese named Muffin.
