Dr. de Andino was born and raised in sunny San Juan, Puerto Rico. She earned her bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in Italian at Fordham University in New York City. After graduation she began working at a stock brokerage firm, where she quickly realized that the world of finance was not her calling, her true passion was animal care. Caring for homeless animals and making sure they had a better life made her happy and so she decided to go to veterinary school. Dr. de Andino graduated from University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine with an interest in emergency and international relief. After graduating, she moved to San Diego to enjoy the perfect weather and began working at Banfield in the summer of 2016. When she is not working, Dr. de Andino is wiping out in the cold Pacific Ocean while learning to surf, relaxing at dog beach with her 3 rescue mutts, or going on hikes with her friends.
