Dr. Steinhofer is a native of Valley Stream, NY. She originally attended Adelphi University where she received a B.A. degree in accounting and in 2004, she decided to change careers and pursue another goal born of her lifelong love for animals. She started working as a veterinary assistant/technician while attaining a B.S. degree in biology. In 2012, she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, and continued to Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine for her clinical rotation year. After that, she settled in Georgia to practice small animal medicine. After 2 years, she returned to NY and has continued in small animal medicine, concentrating on preventive care. Her veterinary interests include dermatology, clinical pathology, and radiology. At home, Dr. Steinhofer loves hanging out with her pets, Cheyanne, Rein, and Jamison, and also enjoys snowboarding, hiking, camping, or anything outdoors.
