Dr. Horner grew up in Northern Illinois and knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. Initially a veterinary technician, she decided to continue her education and became a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. During her schooling, she moved to Knoxville to finish her clinical training. She fell in love with the area and decided after graduation to stay. Her areas of interest, outside of preventive care, include behavior, nutrition, and holistic therapies. In her spare time, Dr. Horner enjoys spending time with her daughter, working on her house, and crafting different projects.
