Chelsea started in veterinary medicine in 2009, quickly realizing that she had a deep passion for the field in which she began her college education. After earning her certificate in veterinary assisting in 2010, she started as a veterinary assistant at the Banfield in Bluffton, South Carolina where she worked until moving out of the area. Chelsea was able to find time between working, raising a family, and being a military spouse, to complete an associate's degree in veterinary technology in March of 2016. After graduating, she worked in small animal clinics for two years and then had a brief period of service in the US Army, where she learned about human emergency medicine. In September 2018, after being medically discharged from the Army, Chelsea joined the Jacksonville Banfield team. She enjoys emergency medicine, behavior, and nutrition but most of all, being an advocate for the patients in her charge.
