Dr. Christine Barber earned a bachelor's degree in zoology from Duke University before attending and graduating from NC State University in 1992. She came to Banfield from private practice in 2017, and has a special interest in surgery, ranging from routine spays to more complex abdominal and delicate reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Barber has lived in the Raleigh area with her husband since graduating from veterinary school where they have raised their three children. They currently share their home with two rescue chiweenies, Ava and Ziggy, and a black Lab named Parker. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, running, skiing and traveling.
