Dr. Gonzalez-Quintana was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She obtained her bachelor's degree in animal science from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in 2011. During her undergraduate years, she enjoyed volunteering at the local zoo and participating in undergraduate research. She graduated from Tuskegee University, obtaining her Doctor in Veterinary Medicine degree in 2015, and started working for Banfield the same year.
