Dr. Richardson grew up in a small town in the countryside of Ontario, Canada. Once graduated from high school, she moved to Scotland to obtain her bachelor's degree in zoology at the University of St Andrews. Staying in the UK, she obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Medicine in Edinburgh. While living in the UK, Dr. Richardson was able to travel around Europe and farther to South Africa, Madagascar, Nicaragua and Thailand to broaden her knowledge and gain further experience working with a variety of animals. Upon graduation and eight years later of windy and rainy weather, she decided to move back across the Atlantic to sunny Florida in September 2017.
