Dr. Wagner received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Sonoma State University in Sonoma, California. He then went to the University of Saskatchewan, W.C.V.M. for further graduate studies. While there, he did some teaching and research in the veterinary microbiology department concentrating on viral diseases. Choosing then to enter veterinary medicine, he graduated in 1977. He worked in a mixed practice in Kelowna BC, Canada for five years, and then moved back to his home state and town to open the Glen Ellen Veterinary Hospital in 1983. After enjoying over thirty years of private practice, he sold the practice and moved to North Carolina in 2013. Dr. Wagner enjoys meeting people and their pets, and keeping furry friends healthy. A passion for golf makes Pinehurst a perfect place to live with his wife, Pam, and their Wheaton terrier, Bette.
