Dr. Nickel is a 2010 graduate of Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He received the Dr. E.E. Wedman award for ‘the most outstanding’ senior student recognizing his scholarship, leadership, dedication and compassion. After graduation, he completed a mixed surgical/medical internship at the Oregon Humane Society and transitioned into general practice with Banfield in 2011. Areas of interest include animal welfare, soft tissue and limited orthopedic surgery, and diagnostic imaging. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys time spent with his young growing family and two spunky cats, Finn and Fiona. Personal interests include gardening, mason bee raising, hiking and exploring the PNW.
